World Book Day 2019 - another resounding success

Our wonderful World Book Team, Jen, Ruth and Victoria, suitably attired as Where’s Wally, together with their parental helpers, organised another amazing day for the children. Together with staff and other adults, they all came dressed as their favourite book character.

As you can see from the photo gallery, there was a truly eclectic mix of costumes for which we thank all our parents. How creative are you all?

During the course of the day children listened to adults telling stories in wonderfully created reading dens, literally the whole school (including everybody in the office) downed tools and read a book for 10 minutes as part of D.E.A.R (Drop Everything and Read), had the opportunity to choose a book from a huge selection and participate in the end of day parade.

Our wonderful team raised just over £300 which will go towards purchasing books for the school.

Thank you for making this a very memorable day.
